Life on The Wasatch

These flowers and mountainous light remind me that opportunities aren't always going to available. Several years ago, I visited this hillside with my son (Denali). The flowers were knee deep for me and above his head.

We found this particular range of colors and hoped to return in the morning with a prayer of good light.

I will always remember Denali sitting below the tripod playing with a lady bug while we both waited for a break in the wind.

That morning, the swaying flowers stopped and life on the Wasatch froze.

I've returned many years and to date, the colors have never been the same. I've asked my colleagues who've lived in Utah all their lives and they too have said, it's been a while.

I'm grateful for opportunities.

Nature seems to tell us they aren't always available.
